| Em 2023 os estudos em representações sociais no Brasil celebram 45 anos da publicação da obra ‘Representação Social da Psicanálise’ (1978) de Serge Moscovici pela Zahar Editora. A fim de comemorar e registar a trajetória histórica de potencialidade dos estudos psicossociais da Teoria das Representações Sociais (TRS) em múltiplos domínios das ciências sociais e da saúde no Brasil, o presente número temático convida a comunidade científica a dialogar quais as contribuições, potencialidades e desafios teórico-metodológicos que se impuseram historicamente nos estudos das representações sociais ao investigarem os complexos fenômenos que inscrevem a Educação – formal e não formal –, bem como se impõem atualmente. Nessa perspectiva, ao mesmo tempo, que esperamos reunir artigos – empíricos e teóricos – que discorram criticamente a respeito das produções científicas da TRS articuladas com a Educação nesses últimos 45 anos (1978-2023), ansiamos congregar estudos e reflexões que apontem novos horizontes face à realidade educacional brasileira. In 2023, studies in social representations in Brazil will celebrate 45 years of the publication of the work 'Representação Social da Psicanálise' (1978) by Serge Moscovici by Zahar Editora. In order to commemorate and record the historical trajectory of the potential of psychosocial studies of the Theory of Social Representations (TSR) in multiple domains of social sciences and health in Brazil, this thematic issue invites the scientific community to discuss what the contributions are, potentialities and theoretical-methodological challenges that have historically imposed themselves on the studies of social representations when investigating the complex phenomena that inscribe Education – formal and non-formal –, as well as currently imposed. In this perspective, at the same time that we hope to gather articles – empirical and theoretical – that critically discuss the scientific productions of TRS articulated with Education in these last 45 years (1978-2023), we look forward to bringing together studies and reflections that point to new horizons in the face of to the Brazilian educational reality.
